Skeletal quartz can range from a single triangular 'gateway' to layered geometric structures. Old damage exposed some of these layers, which then self-healed. This is seen in the parallel lines in some of the images. Not a single millimetre of the extensive old damage has healed itself, making this Omapeleki a museum-grade example of self-healed quartz.

Tiny stationary bubbles are numerous but hard to find, which is why this crystal isn't being sold as an enhydro, but there are many water pockets, most with no bubbles. A couple were marked with arrows to show proof of water.

Omapeleki Brandbergs are rare because they are only found in a very remote region of the Brandberg range. To access this area, the miner has to walk at least two days to and from the dig, carrying food, water, and, on the return, crystals. That is the closest any vehicle can get. They are the brightest of all Brandbergs and uniquely energetic.
