Ethically hand-mined by Kacha Stones near Talley Abbey in West Wales (UK) in approximately 2005.

Gold on a milky mass (rough rock, not fully formed crystals) is available but rare. Gold in crystals like this is exceptionally rare. This DT cluster has 2 tiny gold flakes, neither of which is easy to see, hence the price for a crystal of this rarity and energy.
With magnification, the pictures of one tiny flake is marked, tilt in light to find. The other is approximately 5mm away from the one marked. Only 33 were ever mined, and some were submitted to an assay office for inspection by X-ray fluorescence to confirm the presence of gold. Proof provided on request.
Welsh gold has been especially prized as a jewellery metal for centuries. Its history dates back to the Celtic kingdoms, when nobles wore gold torques as a badge of rank and power. In an echo of that ancient tradition, the royal family wears wedding rings made only of Welsh gold.

Kacha Stones is the original ethically mined crystal shop, trading since 1996. Ethical sourcing is important not only for the environment and mining communities, but also for keeping the crystal's energy intact. Blasting a hole in the earth and collecting the remains does not produce the best crystals. I mined this myself with nothing more than a trowel.
