Ethically hand-mined in Indonesia

42 x 25 x 25mm ~ 1 1/2" ~ 15 grams

Grape agate is a soothing, uplifting type of amethyst and one of the best crystals for meditation.

Grape Agate is a beautiful and relatively new crystal from the Mamuju Area of West Sulawesi Island, Indonesia. The Indonesian government only allowed its export in 2016.

The name "grape agate" stuck as a marketing term, but these are not agate, they are Amethyst, Botryoidal ( from the Greek word “botrus”, which means a bunch of grapes) Amethyst.

“Sedative and calming, Grape Chalcedony cleanses perception, identifying what is important, helping you sit in stillness. Composed of tiny spheres naturally bonded together, comforting Grape Chalcedony is ideal for fostering a peaceful community, opening your heart to peaceful cooperation. It draws together like-minded people who work for the good of the planet. A stone of inspiration that encourages trust, Grape Chalcedony facilitates finding your karmic strengths.” Judy Hall.

Kacha Stones is the original ethically mined crystal shop, trading since 1996. Ethical sourcing is important not only for the environment and mining communities, but also for keeping the crystal's energy intact. Blasting a hole in the earth and collecting the rubble does not produce the best crystals.

Most crystal shops use the "ethically mined" prefix, which is only possible by buying directly from miners. For 30 years, we have worked directly with miners... from the icy slopes of the Himalayas to the arid deserts of Namibia.
