The main (largest) point is a Dow with the ultimate in Bridge formations - a slender DT enters and exits this water-clear Dow. This remarkable Welsh crystal also exhibits rainbows and a self-healed base.
Celtic Quartz is seriously rare. I mined this with nothing but a trowel in an incredibly magical area of far West Wales. Welsh quartz is significant in Celtic mythology and folklore. It is associated with magic and the Faery Kingdom.
Dows are the ultimate geometric symmetry in quartz, with alternating 3 and 7-sided faces. Their mathematical perfection represents perfect and powerful balance. They balance the wisdom of 7 with the mental fluidity and raw energy of 3.
"Dows combine the qualities of the transmitter and channelling crystal. It also provides for a continuous connective force between the holder of the crystal and "All That Is". It is the crystal for creativity and service to humanity through spiritual and mystical pursuits. It allows access to the records relating to each question or thought and, even without focusing, provides intuitive awareness in all situations". Melody, Love is in the Earth.
“Bridge crystals are quite beneficial when one is working with the aspects of spirituality and with the advanced metaphysical areas, and attempting to share this knowledge with others. Bridge crystals facilitate bridging between the inner and outer worlds, between the self and others residing on this planet, and between the self and other worlds.” Melody, Love is in the Earth.
Since 1996, Kacha Stones has specialised in ethically mined crystals. Ethical sourcing is important not only for the environment and mining communities, but also and for keeping the crystal's energy vibrant and intact. Blasting a hole in the earth and collecting the rubble does not produce the best crystals.
Most crystal shops use the "ethically mined" prefix, which is only possible by buying directly from miners. For 30 years, we have worked directly with miners from the icy slopes of the Himalayas to the arid deserts of Namibia.
