Ethically hand-mined Brandberg Quartz

111mm ~ 4 1/2" ~ 285 grams

This is a large, seriously rare, and energetic Omapeleki Smoky Brandberg. The whitish Calcite partial coating has been left on because Calcite is an energy amplifier.

"Calcite amplifies energy and clears and activates all of the body's energy centres." Melody, Love is in the Earth.

There are no easily seen bubbles; there are many large water pockets stacked exactly like phantoms. Skeletal main face, self-healing, harlequin flecks, rainbows, several black Phantoms and a central penetration bridge shaft that creates a Sceptre; the exterior of this Sceptre is a DT.

"Sceptres were used in Atlantis and Lemuria in healing ceremonies and were a symbol of the power of the realm; those who carried or wore a Sceptre Crystal were in the position of high priest/priestess. The sceptre brings the spirituality of the higher planes into the healing ceremonies and focuses the energy deep with the heart of the matter. It is an excellent configuration for transmission of directional energy.” Melody, Love is in the Earth.

I'm aware this description is far from easy to understand, but it is an attempt to accurately describe a complex and unique crystal. At over 1/4 of a kilo, it's also very large for an Omapeleki.

Omapeleki Brandbergs are rare because they are only found in a very remote region of the Brandberg range. To access this area, the miner has to walk at least two days to and from the dig, carrying food, water, and, on the return, crystals. That is the closest any vehicle can get. They are the brightest of all Brandbergs and uniquely energetic.

Kacha Stones is the original ethically mined crystal shop, trading since 1996. Ethical sourcing is important not only for the environment and mining communities, but also for preserving the crystal's energy. Blasting a hole and collecting the remains does not produce the best crystals.

Nearly all crystal shops now use 'ethically mined', but you only know where and how it was mined if you buy from the miners. For nearly 30 years, we have worked directly with miners from the icy slopes of the Himalayas to the arid deserts of Namibia.
