Ethically hand-mined Brandberg Quartz

45mm ~ 1 3/4" ~ 20 grams

This is not the easiest Master Self-Healed to identify if you are unfamiliar with the formation, which is almost everyone, because these are rare, so the fracture line is marked in black. The position of one tiny negative is marked in blue. The crystal name couldn't accomadate 'negative manifestation enhydro' :) Needless to say, this crystal has an unusual combination of formations - some rare in themselves.

Omapeleki Brandbergs are rare because they are only found in a very remote region of the Brandberg range. To access this area, the miner has to walk at least two days to and from the dig, carrying food, water, and, on the return, crystals. That is the closest any vehicle can get. They are the brightest of all Brandbergs and uniquely energetic.

“Another type of self-healed crystal is one which has been broken (exhibiting the break in the horizontal plane, or close to the horizontal strata), with the break being healed and the crystal structure being again complete. This crystal is the master crystal in the art of self-healing." Melody, Love is in the Earth.

"Black Phantom Quartz Crystals are very unusual. They provide the energy of the quartz, coupled with the property of grounding; this grounding is via the perfect alignment of the physical energy centres, which occurs with the use of this mineral. Hence, with a black phantom crystal, one does not require an additional stone for grounding." Melody, Love is in the Earth.

Kacha Stones is the original ethically mined crystal shop, trading since 1996. Ethical sourcing is important not only for the environment and mining communities, but also for keeping the crystal's energy intact. Blasting a hole in the earth and collecting the remains does not produce the best crystals.

Nearly all crystal shops now claim their crystals are 'ethically mined', but you only know where and how it was mined if you buy from the miners. For 30 years, we have worked directly with miners from the icy slopes of the Himalayas to the arid deserts of Namibia.
