Ethically hand-mined Brandberg Quartz
55mm ~ 2 1/4" ~ 25 grams
The highest peak within the Brandberg massif is called Königstein. The crystals mined here don't look like any other Brandberg crystals and are typically tapered laser crystals. While not as pretty as some Brandbergs, they are extremely energetic, and the altitude at which they are mined makes them rare.
The main crystal is a beautifully curved (rare) and tapered laser crystal. The base is fully self-healed (blue arrow) and towards the tip is an easily identified Master Self-Healed formation (black arrow). A truly exceptional example of self-healing in quartz. Master Self-Healed crystals are rare.
“Another type of self-healed crystal is one which has been broken (exhibiting the break in the horizontal plane, or close to the horizontal strata), with the break being healed and the crystal structure being again complete. This crystal is the master crystal in the art of self-healing." Melody, Love is in the Earth.
"The Curved Quartz Crystal curvature is produced during the developmental stages of growth and is a rather rare occurrence. The structure of the curved crystal provides for a continuous (when in ones energy field) alignment of the physical meridians and the nervous system, and the alignment of the physical, emotional, mental, etheric, astral, etc., bodies, singularly and with one another.
The Curved Quartz Crystal emanates a gentle, but powerful energy, and can be used to cleanse the aura, promote flexibility in one's attitudes, and to provide strength to one's decisions. It allows one to see the inner workings of any situation.” Melody, Love is in the Earth.
Since 1996, Kacha Stones has specialised in ethically mined crystals. Ethical sourcing is vital for the environment, mining communities, and preserving the crystal's energy. Blasting a hole in the earth and collecting the remains does not produce the best crystals.
Most crystal shops use the 'ethically mined' prefix, which is only possible by buying directly from miners. For 30 years, we have worked directly with miners from the icy slopes of the Himalayas to the arid deserts of Namibia.
