This is the largest Brandberg Quartz cluster we have ever had. Over 1.3 kilos with large crystals in perfect condition, including 2 rainbow crystals.
While crystals this size (and larger) are readily available, in Brandberg quartz this size is hardly ever seen. This is a genuinely rare crystal. This can easily be verified by trying to find another Brandberg Quartz over a kilo. An impressive and energetic Brandberg cluster.
The Brandberg Mountains in Namibia are 132-135 million years old. These mountains are renowned for their ancient rock paintings and engravings. The Herero people named Brandberg, Omukuruvaro, 'Mountain of the Gods.' These sacred mountains have yielded the most beautiful, high-frequency healing crystals ever discovered.
Kacha Stones is the original ethically mined crystal shop, trading since 1996. Ethical sourcing is important not only for the environment and mining communities, but also for preserving the crystal's energy. Blasting a hole in the earth and collecting the remains does not produce the best crystals.
Nearly all crystal shops now use 'ethically mined', but you only know where and how it was mined if you buy from the miners. For 30 years, we have worked directly with miners from the icy slopes of the Himalayas to the arid deserts of Namibia.
