Ethically hand-mined Brandberg Quartz

For a Brandberg, this isn't a pretty crystal, but I hope the images show this is a complex, rare and fascinating Omapeleki Smoky quartz. It is powerfully energetic.
Skeletal is commonly used as a synonym for 'elestial', but while sharing some of its defining and metaphysical properties, it is a distinct quartz formation. Most elestials are not skeletal. Skeletal quartz is characterised by geometric depressions (and therefore raised patterning), which produce pronounced external etching and internal cavities. These internal spaces combine to give an overall skeletal appearance.
Several stationary and moving bubbles are present; some are marked in the images to help you find them. There are black phantoms, red lepidicrocite Harlequin flecks, black phantoms and self-healing. At 1/3 of a kilo, it's also very large for an Omapeleki.
Omapeleki Brandbergs are rare because they are only found in a very remote region of the Brandberg range. To access this area, the miner has to walk at least two days to and from the dig, carrying food, water, and, on the return, crystals. That is the closest any vehicle can get. They are the brightest of all Brandbergs and uniquely energetic.
Kacha Stones is the original ethically mined crystal shop, trading since 1996. Ethical sourcing is important not only for the environment and mining communities, but also for preserving the crystal's energy. Blasting a hole and collecting the remains does not produce the best crystals.
Nearly all crystal shops now use 'ethically mined', but you only know where and how it was mined if you buy from the miners. For nearly 30 years, we have worked directly with miners from the icy slopes of the Himalayas to the arid deserts of Namibia.
