Ethically mined Blue Flash Labradorite
50mm ~ 2" ~ 75 grams (approx., not the exact one shown, all are very nice)
The most distinguishing feature of labradorite is its iridescent play of colours, often called 'labradorescence'. When viewed from different angles, the stone displays a stunning array of colours, including blues, greens, yellows, and even flashes of orange and red. This optical effect is created by the scattering of light within the stone's internal structure.
Kacha Stones is the original ethically mined crystal shop, trading since 1996. Ethical sourcing is important not only for the environment and mining communities but also for preserving the crystal's energy. Blasting a hole in the earth and collecting the remains does not produce the best crystals.
Nearly all crystal shops now use 'ethically mined', but you only know where and how they were mined if you buy from the miners. For 30 years, we have worked directly with miners from the icy slopes of the Himalayas to the arid deserts of Namibia.
