Ethically hand-mined Brandberg Quartz
90 x 50 x 50mm ~ 3 1/2" ~ 220 grams
This is a larger Brandberg with an unusual formation. There is a peach tint in the image; it's the regular quartz colour but caught a reflection.
The base of this larger Brandberg has self-healed so completely that it is now a very energetic, multi-terminated DT. One face side is also perfectly self-sealed and is surrounded by energy-amplifying white Calcite. One interesting feature of Self-Healing is that it clearly indicates the crystal being alive.
“In a crystal, we have pure evidence of the existence of a formative life principle, and although in spite of everything we cannot understand the life of crystals, it is still a living being." Nikola Tesla.
"The self-healed crystal, having learned to heal itself, can lend this knowledge to the user and can share the experience of self-healing. One may use the crystal for healing of the self or in "crystal healing” of another person". Melody, Love is in the Earth.
"Double Terminated crystals can assist in providing protection from mental and physical harm. Carrying a double-terminated crystal can enable one to maintain one’s energy shield." Melody, Love is in the Earth.
The Brandberg Mountains rise from a red desert to form Namibia's highest range, a staggering 132-135 million years old! These mountains have always been held sacred and are famed for ancient rock paintings and engravings. The Herero people named Brandberg, Omukuruvaro, "Mountain of the Gods".
Kacha Stones is the original ethically mined crystal shop, trading since 1996. Ethical sourcing is important not only for the environment and mining communities, but also for preserving the crystal's energy. Blasting a hole in the earth and collecting the rubble does not produce the best crystals.
Most crystal shops use the "ethically mined" prefix, which is only possible by buying directly from miners. For 30 years, we have worked directly with miners from the icy slopes of the Himalayas to the arid deserts of Namibia.
