Ethically hand-mined Brandberg Quartz

77mm ~ 3" ~ 104 grams

This unusual Brandberg has a beautifully formed self-healed Skeletal gateway, Harlequin flecks, Harlequin Phantom, extensive self-healing and refined etching. A unique, larger than average Brandberg.

Skeletal is commonly used as a synonym for 'elestial', but while sharing some of its defining and metaphysical properties, it is a distinct quartz formation. Most elestials are not skeletal. Skeletal quartz is characterised by geometric depressions (and therefore raised patterning), which produce pronounced external etching and internal cavities. These internal spaces combine to give an overall skeletal appearance.

“Harlequin Quartz quartz containing red dots or strings of lepidocrocite. It provides a beautiful 'dancing' energy that, when activated, stimulates the flow of energy on all levels. It can be used to stimulate the base chakra and to provide for a direct pathway between the base chakra and the heart chakra; it can hence be used to direct and to intensify natural proclivities. It activates all of the qualities of the base chakra, the heart chakra, and the crown chakra, and provides physical energy and vitality to the physical body. It further stimulates the healing qualities of the heart and the associated attributes of loving consciousness.” Melody, Love is in the Earth.

Kacha Stones is the original ethically mined crystal shop, trading since 1996. Ethical sourcing is important not only for the environment and mining communities, but also for preserving the crystal's energy. Blasting a hole and collecting the remains does not produce the best crystals.

Nearly all crystal shops now use 'ethically mined', but you only know where and how it was mined if you buy from the miners. For nearly 30 years, we have worked directly with miners from the icy slopes of the Himalayas to the arid deserts of Namibia.
