Ethically hand-mined Brandberg Quartz

A Dow is defined as having alternating 7- and 3-sided faces. It is the ultimate geometric symmetry in quartz and produces an exceptional frequency. It is surprisingly rare. This crystal has 2 Dow formations. One on the tip with the window. This '7th face' is considered 'on top' of the crystals 6-sided formation, though it does make the Dow less obvious. The other Dow is the single end of the Twin and is perfect.

"Dows combine the qualities of the transmitter and channelling crystal. It also provides for a continuous connective force between the holder of the crystal and "All That Is". It is the crystal for creativity and service to humanity through spiritual and mystical pursuits. It allows access to the records relating to each question or thought and, even without focusing, provides intuitive awareness in all situations". Melody, Love is in the Earth.

The orange arrow shows growth-interference (where calcite cubes dissolved), and the blue arrow shows the Window.

Since 1996, Kacha Stones has specialised in ethically mined crystals. Ethical sourcing is important for the environment, mining communities, and keeping the crystal's energy intact. Blasting a hole in the earth and collecting the remains does not produce the best crystals.

Most crystal shops use 'ethically mined', but this is only possible by buying directly from miners. For 30 years, we have worked directly with miners from the icy slopes of the Himalayas to the arid deserts of Namibia.
