Songea Sapphires are a variety of sapphires known for their stunning colour and unique characteristics. They are primarily found in the Umba Valley in Tanzania, near the city of Songea, which is how they got their name.
Songea Sapphires can have excellent clarity, with fewer inclusions than sapphires from some other locations. This high clarity contributes to their brilliance and transparency.
The sacral chakra is the second chakra and is associated with willpower, energy, creativity, and the reproductive system. The colour traditionally associated with the sacral chakra is orange, and orange gemstones balance and align this chakra.
Since 1996, Kacha Stones has specialised in ethically mined crystals. Ethical sourcing is important for the environment, mining communities, and maintaining the crystal's energy. Blasting a hole in the earth and collecting the remains does not produce the best crystals.
