Songea Sapphires are a variety of sapphires that are known for their stunning colour and unique characteristics. These sapphires are primarily found in the Umba Valley in Tanzania, near the city of Songea, which is how they got their name.

Songea Sapphires can have excellent clarity, with fewer inclusions than sapphires from some other locations. This high clarity contributes to their brilliance and transparency.

The sacral chakra, also known as Svadhisthana, is the second chakra and is associated with willpower, energy, creativity, and the reproductive system. The colour traditionally associated with the sacral chakra is orange. Orange gemstones balance and align this chakra.
