A beautiful 25mm shimmering Biwa pearl set in sterling silver with a faceted pink tourmaline.

Biwa pearls are named after Lake Biwa, the largest freshwater lake in Japan, located near Kyoto. Historically, Lake Biwa was renowned for its thriving pearl industry, which produced high-quality freshwater pearls. Authentic Biwa pearls from the original Lake Biwa production are relatively rare.
