Turquoise has a rich history and is culturally significant in many societies. For centuries, civilisations such as the Native American tribes, ancient Egyptians, Persians, Celts, and Tibetans used it in jewellery, art, and religious rituals.
Kacha Stones is the original ethically mined crystal shop, trading since 1996. Ethical sourcing is important for the environment and mining communities and preserves the crystal's energy, which would otherwise be disrupted by destructive mining.
Most crystal shops use 'ethically mined', but this is only possible by buying directly from miners. For 30 years, we have worked directly with miners from the icy slopes of the Himalayas to the arid deserts of Namibia.
